When you feel at ease with yourself

Watch out for a moment this week when you feel at home in yourself.
When you forget about time, and you feel you’re in the right place at the right time. Even if it’s just for a moment.
It doesn't matter what you're doing or if you're resting. You might be cuddling into bed, or biking up a hill, drinking tea, or even just scrolling on your phone.

These homecoming moments are the important moments when you trust life and yourself.
For a little while, you forget about your worries, and your thoughts, your feelings, and your body are aligned enough for you to be fully present. It feels like "I’m okay. I’m here. I can trust this.”

That’s okay too.

Sometimes life is so loud, or we’ve been in survival mode for so long, that these moments are hard to feel.

If that’s you, you might think of a time in the past when you felt more at home in yourself, maybe as a child on a stoop in the sun, eating ice cream, maybe riding your bike and feeling free, maybe watching a movie and a scene made something in you feel warm inside.

Just remembering one of those moments is already a start.

If it feels possible, you might bring a little of that feeling back into your life now, by doing a small version of it again, or simply by revisiting it in your imagination.

Whatever the glimmer is in your life, you’re invited to tend to it.
That’s how it slowly grows into a spark.
